The Fraternity

The History of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Incorporated

Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity Incorporated is a non-profit, non-collegiate fraternal service and social organization. Established by four men on August 17, 2001 in Tallahassee, FL by D. Sean Benjamin, Rollen Scarboro, Vermeil Haynes, and John Manual. These men are known as the “Illustrious Elite” of Kappa Psi Kappa. These men set out and started to organize the foundation of the fraternity based upon promoting the high ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, service and leadership.

The Fraternity was incorporated under the Articles of Corporation in the State of Florida on October 3rd, 2001. It was during the year 2002 that the fraternity started to build and began Spring intake. During this time the founders of Kappa Psi Kappa found the last asset to building a strong foundation. Robert Smith underwent intake and was initiated in the Fall of 2002. Upon a nomination, Brother Smith was made a founder of the fraternity due to his extreme efforts in helping the organization grow and develop.

Today, Kappa Psi Kappa prides itself on providing a service to the community and constantly endeavoring to participate in a multitude of community service activities for a range of different organizations while fellowshipping in brotherhood. It is the fraternity’s esteem aim is to provide service to the community while providing our members with an opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience while promoting higher education. Through a combine effort involving brotherhood, cooperation, culture, leadership, patience, diversity, and to expose them to leading figures, Kappa Psi Kappa hopes to transform an individual into a true brother of this fraternity and hopefully be able to lead Kappa Psi Kappa and others in life into great heights and a more profound world.
