Service Initiatives

Upholding the scared values of Service, Building Community, and Leadership Development, The Delta Chapter of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Incorporated continues to give provide a much needed time and effort within the greater Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana area.

Listed below are some of the initiatives and organizations that the Delta Chapter has partnered with to help uplift the community and strive for it goals of service:

Service Initiatives

Kappas for Advocacy, Prevention, and Education (K.A.P.E.) – Providing advocacy, education, awareness of HIV and sexual health outreach.

Project B.O.O.K. (Bank of Opportunistic Knowledge) – A fraternal effort to supply schools in need with the literacy materials needed to enhance the quality of education amongst elementary school students nationwide. Each chapter and colony will be responsible for hosting a charitable drive toward this national effort, to be delivered to their school of choice.

Community Partners

Heartland Alliance/Vital Bridges – Heartland Alliance, one of the world’s leading anti-poverty organizations, works in communities in the U.S. and abroad to serve those who are homeless, living in poverty, or seeking safety. It provides a comprehensive array of services in the areas of health, housing, jobs and justice – and leads state and national policy efforts, which target lasting change for individuals and society. Participants visit Vital Bridges’ grocery centers and select from an array of nutritious foods at no cost to the participant.

Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus – Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus is a grassroots organization led by Black gay, bisexual, and same gender loving men that works to ensure healthcare engagement, eliminate new HIV infections, and achieve undetectability among the men in our community.

The Boulevard (formerly Interfaith House) – The Boulevard of Chicago provides high quality, cost-effective medical respite care, holistic support and housing services to help ill and injured homeless adults break the cycle of homelessness, restore their health and rebuild their lives.
